After Dinner Speaking

Over the last decade Paul Fletcher has become one of the countries most sought after Sporting/Business Speakers, probably due to his vast experience in these events. In his early days as a Commercial Manager in Football he organised hundreds of Sporting Dinners only to find himself as 'Guest Speaker' himself, some years later. He has shared the stage with most of the celebrity speakers on the circuit and today is busier than ever at various events around the UK and Europe.

The 'Sportsman's Dinner Business' - 'Laughing all the way to the Bank'

In 1999 to celebrate his 1000th after dinner speech he published the book 'The Sportsmans Dinner Business' which became a 'must-read' for event organisers looking to increase their income or for clubs staging their first Sportsman's Dinner event'. The 27 Chapters cover every aspect of The Sportsman's Dinner and are littered with numerous money-making ideas and organisational tips. To make the book a 'fun-read' it also contains numerous humorous anecdotes from Paul's experiences at dinners around the country.

One letter from an under 12's football clubs in West Yorkshire said "Last night we held our first Sporstman's Dinner to raise funds for some new strips for next season. As this was our first event your book soon became our bible, we followed your advice to the letter and achieved great success with sponsorships. Almost 300 people attended and I'm sure the majority will return next year, the night was a big success. I've just paid a cheque for £5,374.85p into the Clubs bank account. Thanks!"

The Boys from Burnley

On occasions Paul Fletcher teams up with his old Burnley Team-mate Steve Kindon (who for the past 15 years has been a full-time Speaker on the after dinner circuit). The night features some of the music from the Boys early days at Burnley Football Club and end with a rendition of the Formby song 'When I'm cleaning windows' with Paul on ukulele.

Following a 15 event nationwide 'tour' in December 2006 the Boys from Burnley show has had rave reviews from both guests and agents alike. One Edinburgh Hotelier saying "This is the most profitable sporting event we have ever had. We've doubled our normal take at the bars. I've never known so many people stay on so long after the function. They obviously really enjoyed the show!'
